The initiative reflects a renewed commitment to customer engagement, regional responsiveness, and the distinctive brand character that has defined GENEWIZ since its founding

GENEWIZ Week, a global celebration of science featuring workshops, promotions, and grants, returns September 8–12, 2025

GENEWIZ from Azenta Life Sciences is returning to its roots with a rebranding effort designed to bring back GENEWIZ’s unique identity and the energetic, fun, and highly personalized customer interactions that have distinguished the company since its founding in 1999.

GENEWIZ will continue to operate as part of the Azenta family, with enhanced operational flexibility and accelerated investment in regional capabilities. Backed by Azenta’s corporate resources, the company will benefit from focused leadership and dedicated infrastructure, enabling it to deliver the localized expertise and high-touch customer support that have long defined the brand.

“When GENEWIZ was acquired by Azenta in 2018, our customers welcomed our expanded offering, but over time, many also missed the unique GENEWIZ spirit, which embraced an approachable and engaging brand personality,” said Ginger Zhou, Ph.D., President of GENEWIZ. “This rebrand is about bringing that beloved spirit back, while further strengthening our ability to meet customers where they are with the tools, expertise, and flexibility they need.”

GENEWIZ Week

As part of its longstanding commitment to the research community, GENEWIZ has launched several initiatives that celebrate and support scientific discovery, efforts that will continue under the new operating model. In 2025, the company will again sponsor GENEWIZ Week, a global celebration of science and scientists featuring workshops, promotions, games, and giveaways. This year’s GENEWIZ Week will take place September 8-12, 2025. To learn more about GENEWIZ Week and to register, click here: https://web.genewiz.com/genewizweek

The GENEWIZ Grant Program is being offered again in 2025. The program was established in 2017 and has awarded more than $300,000 to outstanding researchers across the life sciences. In 2025, GENEWIZ will award four research grants, including two designated for new and returning customers, as well as grants for researchers focused on antibody discovery and those using single cell technologies. The due date for grant submissions for this year’s program is September 19, 2025. To learn more or submit your application, click here: https://web.genewiz.com/genewizweek/grants.

“For more than two decades, GENEWIZ has supported the global scientific community, not only through innovative technologies and exceptional service, but through meaningful initiatives like GENEWIZ Week and our grant program,” said Ginger Zhou, Ph.D., President of GENEWIZ. “This rebranding marks a return to the essence of who we are with a continued focus on advancing and accelerating scientific discovery. Backed by Azenta’s scale, we’re reenergizing our vision and continuing that legacy with investment in our people, programs, and regional capabilities.”
